- We are one of Berkshire’s leading digital agencies and have an opening for a brilliant and enthusiastic Senior PHP Web Developer / LAMP Programmer who's looking to work as part of a vibrant team on a wide range of Digital projects.
The successful candidate will bring to the table a wealth of commercial skills and ability and be looking to lead a team in the next 2 years.
Essential Skills (all required):
• Semantic, valid (X)HTML
• Cross-browser compatible CSS-driven layouts
• Structured and commented PHP (PHP4/5 Procedural/Object Orientated)
• Relational MySQL for e-commerce, authentication or content management
• Joomla and Magento CMS
• JavaScript (plus frameworkds, jQuery, Mootools etc)
• AJAX
• SOAP
• XML-RPC
• SVN
• Troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills
• Determination to succeed
• First class development profile
Bonus Skills:
ASP
ASP.net
Java
Responsibilities
• Resource for project work (CMS driven websites, Ecommerce websites etc)
• Assisting / mentoring development team
• Server troubleshooting & maintenance (largely internal, occasionally external)
• Quoting for new projects / maintenance work
• Being a stickler for coding and web accessibility standards
• Technical counsel for development procedure improvements and third party solution decisions
You must be able to provide details of previous project work, including some code for us to review and URLS of websites. You may also be required to undertake a brief programming exercise for assessment.
