Prime Minister Speaks Up on the Behalf of the Young and the Jobless

12th August 2010

The British government has pledged to help over 45,000 young job seekers to find employment in the tourism, retail and hospitality industries.

The retailer Morrisons, will provide extra training to its entire population of workers who are under the age of 25, over 36,000 to be exact.

The Prime Minister does not agree. “In the last recession, many young people found themselves out of work for months, or more than a year.”

“We are determined that this does not happen again,” he said. “For the first time, we are sitting here talking about the jobs of the future.”

Over 5,000 recruitment opportunities with the Royal Mail, Carillion and Centrica will be created.

Big fish like Pfizer and Microsoft, along with 130 other companies have thrown their supportive hats into the campaign.

Lord Mandelson, the BCC’s Business Secretary stated, “We have both a moral obligation and an economic need to make sure that young people involuntarily without jobs aren’t lost to work.” – UK’s leading flat fee recruitment specialists
