Ties? Formal dress? Black on black? Sobriety? If this sounds like your last interview you should think again! Despite its best intentions the formal interview does have its stereotype. But in today’s digital era of social media, digital immediacy and viral videos, forward-thinking brands are changing things for the better… or at least for more fun!
Carlsberg has long produced ingeious and innovative ads guaranteed to crack a smile - and a can of their beer. And their most recent interview proves no exception. They put a job advert out for a beer ambassador/beer taster for four hours who would receive £6,688 for their trouble.
After 22,630 applied, 5 made it to the finals – and you can watch the video below:
As you can see the interview had multiple stages. First, applicants had to distinguish Carlsberg from a number of other beers in a blind taste test. Secondly, they had do compose wedding vows for their Carlsberg and thirdly, deal with a series of difficult Carlsberg customers – and the result is very funny!
