This is a Fixed Term Contract for the Summer Season from 21st May 2022 until 25th September 2022. This is an onsite operational role. You must be able to commit to the full-length of the contract and available on a 7 day a week rota.

Who we are:

We are the UK's most exciting Aqua Park operator featuring the largest collection of bespoke big impact water obstacles, where customers can climb, bounce, slide and splash their way around the course, having fun with friends and family.

We have a very strong safety culture. We are industry leaders, instrumental in creating the Aquaparks Steering Group in the UK. This is a safety and best practice forum for operators in the UK and Northern Ireland.

This is a family run business, where we fully train and develop people to undertake their roles.

Day to Day Duties:

+ Supervising the Customer Service function, including the reception area, where our customers check in to the park.
+ Managing the Lifeguarding team ensuring that customer safety is our first priority.
+ Ensuring inspections of equipment and facilities are carried out and recorded.
+ Managing a shared email inbox with customer enquiries.
+ Acting as a first point of call for both employees and customers to resolve day to day issues onsite.
+ Following our documented procedures and safe systems of work. You must act promptly to both control risks and escalate any issues to the Site Manager/Directors.
+ You will be a key holder and have responsibility for opening up and closing the site.
+ Working on an agreed shift rota, covering 7 days a week, with some early starts and late finishes.
+ You will cover for the Site Manager on their day off, so you will assume responsibility for the safe and effective running of the site, for a minimum of one day per week during high season.

About You:

+ A degree, such as Sports Management/Leisure/Tourism/Events Management or Instructor qualifications. Or a minimum of 4 years’ work experience, ideally in leisure, lifeguarding, customer service, hospitality or managing teams of people.
+ Some experience of delivering training and supervising others.
+ A genuine love of the outdoors and active outdoor hobbies, which could be Open Water Swimming, Sailing, Cycling, Water Polo, Triathlons, Football, Rugby, Hockey, or many others.

You may have some of the following qualifications:

+ NPLQ National Pool Lifeguard, OWL Open Water Lifeguard, NBLQ National Beach Lifeguard.
+ FAW First Aid at Work
+ Swim Teacher qualifications, STA or Swim England
+ Instructor / Coaching qualifications

Other information:

+ You will need to undergo a DBS check, or enable us to re-check you online, if you are already registered with the update service.
+ You need to have the right to work in the UK.
+ You must provide details of two referees.
