Your Skills: An experienced Bookkeeper and Accounts Controller with strong Xero experience, preferably someone with experience working in a law firm, and capable of working in a paperless office.

About the role:
We are looking for a competent Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to take over the day-to-day tasks relating to keeping. This is a great opportunity to make the role your own and implement new financial processes and procedures.
Ideally, you would have previous experience with some or all of the below tasks. If not, don’t worry we’d still encourage you to apply. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
+ AAT4 qualification or higher
+ Significant Xero experience & expertise
+ Processing incoming invoices and receipts
+ General Bookkeeping
+ Creating and ensuring payment of outgoing monthly invoices
+ Control of cash book including direct debits, standing orders and credit card administration
+ Preparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs and payments for subcontractors
+ Liaising with the bank on general and specific queries/issues/requests
+ Preparing VAT return & Intrastats & EC Sales
+ Producing cash flow schedules
+ Investigating variances to budget, reporting, internal controls, and general accounting. + + + Deploying measures to resolve variances
+ Reconciling company credit card account & expenses
+ Chasing overdue invoices
+ Preparing monthly invoices and issue to clients
+ Scanning/processing incoming invoices and receipts
+ Scheduling payment of incoming invoices
+ Updating records system with disbursements to be on-billed on client invoices
+ Maintaining fixed asset register with depreciations.
