The Cloud Support Engineer Role:

We are looking for a Cloud Support Engineer to come join our team. You'll be operating at the heart of our newly combined entities – following the recent acquisition by a $500m+ US firm.

This is an amazing chance to step up and take ownership by bringing new ideas to the team alongside huge potential for personal growth.

You will be joining a rapidly growing team bringing a new distribution model to the UK from Denver, Colorado. We've pioneered simplifying the cloud buying journey for more 15,000+ partners by reinventing the IT Distribution model … and it's yours to take to into our new market.

Your Day to Day in this role includes:

+ Being responsible for handling and co-ordinating technical queries and tasks raised directly by customers
+ Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues raised by customers
+ Assist with implementation and the build of client environments across all offered cloud services
+ Bringing new ideas to the table, improving and maintaining processes and procedures by the support department
+ Working very closely with sales teams, operations teams to ensure efficient, productive and high quality technical support and customer service to customers

What sort of technologies will you be exposed to?

+ We design, deploy and support customer solutions on Azure,
+ We make use of scripting languages for automation including BASH, PowerShell, Python
+ We use automation frameworks such as Ansible, Cloud Formation, Circle CI

You'll be fully trained in our competencies of how cloud computing works, how to be the 'go to' in the team for required escalations from other Cloud Support Engineers. You get one afternoon per week to choose what you skills you wish to hone in on (This can be discussed within the team to understand what knowledge is required to develop the support teams needs). Add to that we also have a structured career progression path to cater your development requirements.

Position Requirements:

You'll be ideal for us if you:

+ Working with autonomy with a sense of prioritisation
+ Showcasing that you can take ownership of a multitude of problems within a single ticket, ensuring every issue is resolved
+ Being able to follow up with tickets after resolution to ascertain if anything else is required
+ Cloud technology experience (Azure, AWS, GoogleCloud)
+ Experience within infrastructure support (Linux, VMware, Powershell)
