The Deputy Quality Manager Role:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will support the Quality Assurance Manager in developing and managing the Quality Assurance Management Systems in the UK&I and all activities that ensure compliance with the relevant Food Safety Regulations and compliance to the relevant Food Safety certification standards including BRC and FSSC 22000.

The Quality Assurance Specialist shall support the Quality Manager in ensuring compliance to GDP requirements for APIs.

The role will involve working closely with the Operational Team at our GFSI certified and GDP registered sites to ensure continued compliance to the relevant legislation and standards.

To support the Operations Team on Quality, Food Safety, GMP and Technical issues.

To support both colleagues and customers on Quality, Food Safety, GMP and Technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Leading the HACCP Teams in South Kirkby, Dublin and 3PL storage
+ Food Safety/HACCP Training
+ Monitoring of the Change Control Mailbox and drafting notifications to customers informing them of the change.
+ Carrying out Quality, Food and GMP audits of Univar UK&I sites
+ Maintenance of Food Safety and GDP Manuals
+ Quality Lead in Customer Audits of Univar sites
+ Vendor and 3PL auditing
+ Maintenance of VACCP and TACCP plans
+ Maintenance of the Food Approved Supplier/3PL List
+ Supporting Kosher Audits and certificate renewal of South Kirkby.
+ Approval of New Products going into our Food Certified Sites

About You:

+ Degree in Food Science or Chemistry or Equivalent
+ Minimum HACCP 3+ qualification
+ Minimum of 3 years working in GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) Compliance
+ Auditor Qualifications preferable
