The Development Engineer Opportunity:

This is an exciting and varied role split across all facets of the business: customer support, application development, product design and improving our manufacturing processes.

We practise agile management methods and apply lean 6-sigma techniques. You’ll be working across all aspects of the business within a multidisciplinary team, including our in-house manufacturing facility. You will also be working directly with our international customers to support the product.

This position is based at our Headquarters on the Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire, England.

Some international travel will be required for customer visits and conferences.

Based on your talents, here are some examples of the types of teamwork you'd be involved in:

+ Proving out new applications for the IRmadillo FTIR spectrometer
+ Coordinating the delivery of successful customer projects
+ Developing and improving manufacturing processes
+ Testing hardware and software, both for manufacturing and development

About you:

This role is open to all experience levels – you may be just starting your career or have a wealth of experience. Either way, we want to speak with you!

+ Have a Degree or Equivalent in Chemistry
+ Understand what makes good customer service
+ Good at picking up the phone and talking to actual humans to get an issue sorted
+ Happy to work outside your comfort zone and take on new ways of working and challenges
+ Practically minded and live for the challenge of sorting out a problem
+ Like to make things happen and get stuff done
+ Like to play on a team, rather than be the lone wolf – we do all our work collaboratively
