We are looking for a bright and switched-on candidate who can quickly pick up the technical aspects of our spray technology products and who will quickly be able to learn about and understand the wide variety of engineering applications our products are used in.
Graduate Sales Engineer – STEM – Sales Apprenticeship
Newark-on-Trent / Lincoln Area
£20,000 – £25,000 Basic (£30,000 – £35,000 OTE)
Industries: Chemicals, Manufacturing, Food processing, Water, Oil & Gas.
Full sales training will be given via the level-4 sales executive apprenticeship scheme. This gives comprehensive sales training over an 18-month period.
Who we are:
We supply innovative spray technology products to a wide variety of different industries. Our customers are typically engineers working within the food processing, manufacturing, oil & Gas, chemical, and water industries. There are many other industries our products are used in. The list of applications our products are used in is equally broad including, washing, gas scrubbing, odour control, dust suppression, coating systems, tank cleaning and many more. Given the vast range of industries and applications for our products we are looking for a curious, technically minded, individual who can quickly take on board information from customers and help them select the correct product for the job.
Full product training will be given, of course, but, given the very wide number of uses for our products we need someone who will be able to ask a customer the correct questions in order to solve the spray engineering problem they have. We need a curious, technically minded person, who is not afraid to ask questions, challenger customers assumptions, and really get to the root of the problem they are trying solve. We need someone who will then be able to creatively apply their technical knowledge to the customer’s problem and collaborate with them to come up with a solution.
+ Proactively canvasing prospects in relevant end users industries including, but not limited to, food processing, petrochemical, chemical processing and general manufacturing.
+ Engage with and recruit value added resellers for our products in the relevant engineering sectors e.g. working with engineering companies dealing with the food processing sector such that they use our products in their designs.
+ Follow up in inbound enquiries, understanding the customers’ problems and deriving solutions based on our product set.
+ Work with the marketing department to provide input for case studies, social media and other marketing content.
+ Provide intelligence to the business for new focused marketing campaigns based on niche applications and markets.
+ A physical science or engineering degree
+ Aptitude and personality geared towards sales
+ Understanding of social selling (LinkedIn, FB, Instagram etc.)
+ Good understanding of fluid mechanics basics (pressures, flow rates, pump basics, pipe sizes, threads, fittings etc.)
+ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software
+ Understanding and experience of selling or working in any of the following markets:
– Food processing
– Chemical processing
