The Graduate Sustainability Assistant Opportunity:
We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a recent graduate to gain invaluable experience as part of our sustainability agenda and progressing our evolving sustainability ambitions. Reporting to the Global Director of Sustainability, throughout this 24-month placement you will gain an exposure a broad range of topics including energy, waste, safety, operations, sales and supply chain responsibility.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
+ Actively seeking improvements to existing processes carried out as part of the sustainability program’s workstreams
+ Supporting the delivery on change through application of principles on change management and project management.
+ Proactive problem identification and root cause analysis to develop solutions that enable the business to better meet the objectives of our global sustainability agenda.
+ Supporting development and implementation of projects identified as part of the ongoing sustainability strategy.
+ Identify and communicate business case, risks, plans and reviews for new projects and pilot projects to support sustainability improvements.
+ Work cross functionally to gather and process information from stakeholders in new and ongoing sustainability activities.
+ Assisting colleagues with sustainability enquiries.
+ Supporting the business’ external reporting, helping to improve our sustainability performance.
+ Contribute to work in line with the expectations of our own goals and external frameworks (GRI, SASB, UN SDG’s etc.) that can withstand external scrutiny.
We Are Looking For
+ The successful candidate will hold a minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in a related field (Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Project Management or similar) and have a drive for continued learning and continuous development.
+ Comfortable solving problems
+ Adaptable working style to manage both detail orientated work and big picture thinking
+ Good people skills
+ Collaborative work approach
+ Ability to embrace our ‘Serious about safety’ culture and maintain professional behaviour
+ Computer literate with experience of data analysis and processing with the ability to work with a level of autonomy.
