The Group Finance Team:
The Group Finance Team is led by the Group Financial Controller and Chief Risk Officer who reports directly to the CFO. The team is responsible for all aspects of management reporting, financial planning & analysis and external reporting for the Group.
The team liaises extensively with the Divisional Finance teams on all aspects of business performance to ensure consistency of reporting and an excellent level of understanding of future and historical performance.
Key relationships for the team are with the Leadership Team, Senior Budget Holders, Board, Divisional Management and Auditors.
One of two peer roles in Group Finance reporting to the Group Financial Controller and Chief Risk Officer. Together the roles take responsibility for the consolidation and reporting of the Group’s results across all cycles.
Furthermore, this role is a key leadership role within the Group Finance team and the wider London office.
The Head of Financial and Technical Reporting role will own the processes for accounting for and consolidation of the Group’s results covering all cycles: Statutory, monthly management accounting, quarterly forecast, annual budgets and long-range strategic plans.
The role holder will require the ability to deliver first class reporting processes, ensure technical compliance with the relevant accounting standards and be proactive in implementing improvements to current processes. The role holder will be the primary lead on technical projects and regulatory reporting compliance.
The role will have direct reports including a Financial Reporting Manager. Together with their peer, the role holder will be expected to support the Group Financial Controller with ensuring the overall quality, timeliness and output of the department’s deliverables, and leadership of the team.

Qualifications and experience:
+ The successful candidate will have at least 6 years PQE, ideally with experience in practice (Big 4/Top 6) and in industry.
+ Track record of managing complex international UK listed financial reporting environments.
+ Demonstrable skill at providing technical IFRS accounting advice.
+ Experience in consolidating and analysing all aspects of management reporting at a group level.
+ Experience of managing the accounting for large scale and complex acquisitions or divestments in a UK listed environment.
+ Good excel skills, including modelling.
+ Significant experience in the use and management of both ledger and consolidation systems, ideally SAP BPC.
