About us:

We are a booking agent and training provider for the construction industry. We are a fast growing technology and e-commerce company, offering a platform to help people gain construction industry related qualifications and training to assist them to work on construction sites in the UK.

The Head of Operations role:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced operations manager who wants to join a fast growing company. You will be ambitious, loyal and want to grow with the business. The skills you have will help the company to transition from fast growth to fast growth with structure and operational efficiencies.

We are looking for someone who will be able to hit the ground running from day one. Organisational skills, high level problem solving, attention to detail, understanding technology enabled businesses and dealing with people are key to success in this role.

The role will be based mainly from home, however there is space available in the office if needed. You will also be required to attend regular meetings at the office.

Key responsibilities:

+ Effectively managing the team and team leaders
+ Working with the team to increase and optimise operational efficiencies.
+ Tracking operational and company efficiency metrics overtime.
+ Working with team members and third parties to identify and optimise eCommerce sales and customer experience over time.
+ Optimise employee workflows and information sharing between team members to increase efficiencies.
+ Implement changes to optimise employee work flows, internal systems and back office functions for the company.
+ Providing regular reports on company financials and relevant metrics, and being ultimately responsible for the company performance.
+ Work with the managing director to implement long-term company vision and meet targets.
+ Work with the team to provide an enjoyable and productive work environment.
+ Implement back office functions and efficiencies where needed.

About you:

+ 3-5 years+ operations management experience (ideally within an office/technology or e-commerce environment.)
+ Proven track record of improving operational efficiencies.
+ Experience working in a technology enabled business.
+ Degree 2:1 or above in a business related discipline.
+ Excellent attention to detail.
+ Fluent English including written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proven problem solving skills.
+ Excellent computer skills including being able to create management level reports on Excel, PowerPoint presentation and Word documents.
+ Willing to undertake any other relevant duties as may reasonably be requested.
+ Willing to take full responsibility for the performance of themselves and the team's performance.
+ Ability to work with limited supervision and manage time effectively.
+ Strong work ethic.
