Who are we?

We are a small successful HR Consultancy with a client base in Oxfordshire/Warwickshire and London and soon to arrive in Cumbria! We are a passionate team who provide best practice, leading edge HR advice to start ups and scale up SME’s – we’re a one-stop-shop for all their people related matters. Our mission is to make every business we work with, a great place to work.

The HR Administrator Role:

Due to our continued growth and success, we are looking for a standout HR Administrator to join our small team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, and is able to produce consistently high quality documents for our team and our clients and has great attention to detail.

This is no job for a shrinking violet, as this is a pressurised role. You’ll need to be able to hit the ground running as you will be given a myriad of HR Administration tasks straight away to complete for our clients, who come from a wide variety of industries. You'll be dealing with clients who have come to expect our high standards and short turn around times. One day may be quite intense and the next day might be spent doing more repetitive tasks such as branding an Employee Handbook for a client or reviewing and updating our policies and processes.

As a small team, we all pitch in and do whatever is needed, so HR diva’s need not apply please!

We love working together as a team, so this is an office based role – please check before applying so you know if you will be able to reach us.

As an HR Administrator a typical week might include the following tasks:

+ Answering emails from our clients.
+ Researching and writing a Menopause Policy.
+ Create a letter to suspend an employee for an alleged Gross Misconduct event.
+ Creating the letters to acknowledge a grievance, inviting the employee to attend their grievance investigation meeting, and then dealing with the subsequent SAR.
+ Calculating the holiday entitlement of a leaver and writing their resignation acceptance letter, ensuring that their notice period is correctly applied, and their leaving date confirmed.
+ Creating a contract of employment and offer letter for a new starter on behalf of one of our clients.
+ Creating a project plan for a TUPE transfer and preparing all the due diligence materials needed for the client.
+ Reviewing and updating our Policies, to make them more “modern” and consistent in language and tone.
+ Completing an Occupational Health referral for a client's employee, ensuring the paperwork and relevant materials are sent to the employee, and that the Occupational Health report is received by the employee and the client, and a meeting is arranged to discuss the recommendations with the client.
+ Improving one of our processes, based on feedback from our team or a client.

This job might be for you if:

+ You are a recent college or university leaver, looking to start their career in HR, ideally CIPD qualified at level 3, or looking to study for their CIPD qualification.
+ You are an experienced HR Administrator/Superstar who has been there, got the t-shirt and can provide a consistently high level of admin support to our team and clients.
+ You are an experienced HRBP or HR Manager who no longer wants to be client facing and providing advice, so has the knowledge and experience to complete the HR Admin tasks to a high standard, using your skills and experience to do so.
+ You can demonstrate your exceptional customer service to internal or external clients and are used to working to consistently achieve Service Level Agreements.
+ You are commercially astute and genuinely have an interest in business and our clients' businesses.
+ You’re unflappable, and someone who is highly organised and able to work at a fast pace and manage multiple priorities.
+ You have strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships within our small team, we have lots of serious work to do, and we do like to let off steam together!
+ You have strong IT/technical skills and love to learn and can pick up new technology easily.

Next Steps:

+ We will hold a Zoom interview with anyone we shortlist for the role to get to know you and give you the opportunity to get to know more about us too, to see if we’re a good fit for each other. These Zoom interviews will be held throughout August/early September.
+ Interviews will then be held in our new offices near Kendal; Cumbria on the 20th/21st September, so please ensure you are available to attend an in person interview on one of these dates.
