The iOS Developer Role:

The role of the iOS Developer is paramount to the design, development, and implementation of current and future products.

You will take responsibility for the development and maintenance of high-quality products on a day-to-day basis to agreed timelines. It will involve very much hands-on development as well as working closely with the Client-side Lead in the continuous review of development practices, standards, and guidelines. This role would suit a detail-oriented software development professional who is passionate about producing robust, maintainable software.

Key Duties:

+ Designing, building, configuring and maintaining applications to meet business requirements
+ Championing process by following established processes and supporting their continual improvement.
+ Playing a key role in identifying and championing improvements in the areas of technology and product
+ Writing technical documentation in line with documentation standards and processes
+ Liaising with technical staff at customer and partner organisations
+ Writing testable, scalable and efficient code and conducting code reviews
+ Performing internal and client facing product demos

About You:

+ Strong iOS development experience in Swift and Objective-C knowledge
+ Commercial experience with iOS native frameworks (i. e. Foundation, CoreData, CoreLocation)
+ Commercial experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning.
+ Commercial experience with 3rd party data sources, APIs, analytical tools such as Firebase and an understanding of cloud message APIs and push notifications
+ Systems integration using REST web services
+ Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
+ Familiarity with continuous integration (AppCenter, CircleCI etc.)
+ Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies
+ Good understanding of object-oriented programming and modern design patterns
+ Version control experience (GitFlow, BitBucket)
+ Able to demonstrate a strong level of knowledge of relevant software development standards, issues and methodologies. A commitment to the continuous improvement of process and technical solutions
+ Willing to learn new technologies and an interest in Android development is essential
+ Substantial experience with an Agile methodology and different software methodologies – including working with a Lean methodology or Scrum, XP or a similar Agile methodology
+ Organised and methodical, with keen attention to detail
+ Experience working as part of a cross functional team of Designers, Product Owners, QA, Server Side developers, and other iOS / Android developers
