The 2nd Line Support Engineer Role:
We are seeking an ambitious team player who is looking to work in the engine room of our rapidly growing firm. You will be organised and eager to learn, in an industry where nothing stays the same for long.
We have won some big contracts and we’re looking for the right person to roll up their sleeves and perform as an individual and develop themselves into an A-team player. We will not accept any less. —- We only employ A-Team players!!
You will be involved in Desktop/Server Helpdesk Support and Cloud Solutions (Microsoft 365/Azure) support and lots of project work.
+ Answer support queries via phone and email
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task
+ Logging of customer requests and incidents
+ Diagnosing and rectifying technical problems and queries following first-line fix criteria and where possible resolving at first call
+ To be able to work with non-technical customers and technical customers alike
+ Working with senior engineers on escalated tickets
+ 2-4 Years demonstrable experience in supporting enterprise level IT systems
+ Ideally worked within a Managed Services (MSP) business for at least 1-2 years
+ Windows Server Support experience
+ Experience of supporting desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office and MS Teams
+ Administration of Office 365, SharePoint and MS Teams
+ Network troubleshooting for business networks (VLAN’s), firewalls & routers, and IP telephony.
+ Advanced PowerShell skills essential
+ Autotask (PSA)/Datto (RMM) Experience essential
+ Exceptional customer service and confident communication skills
+ Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
+ Ability to work to targets – this will be measured weekly
+ A high standard of written and spoken English and attention to detail
+ Excellent teamwork skills
+ Clean driver’s license and own transport
+ Key supporting certifications and accreditations
The ideal candidate should have MS900 and/or AZ900 Microsoft certification and CompTIA A+ certification.
