The Junior Proposal Bid Writer Role:
As a Junior Proposal Bid Writer, you will produce technical writing outputs for both the product and bid functions within the company. You will be responsible for identifying the correct approach for each documentation output and ensuring that the result achieves optimal outcomes for the company. This includes technical response content for bids/tenders, product user documentation, and other outputs as required.
You'll see every bid and every piece of documentation as an opportunity to establish successful and long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, and play a pivotal role in shaping bid strategies, crafting content and managing the overall end-to-end technical documentation process to achieve this.
About You:
You must be comfortable and confident, with a flair for internal and external stakeholder/subject matter expert (SME) engagement and an ability to distil complex information.
You should be excited by technology and enjoy writing winning technical content. Must be a strong writer, capable of adapting to suit different audiences and flexible enough to write all forms of product documentation and bid writing as required.
You'll excel in understanding prospective client requirements and confidently articulate solutions that are geared towards adding maximum value to achieve successful results.
Your Skills & Experience:
+ A minimum of 1 years’ work experience in technical writing, bid
+ writing or bid writing, within a software development environment. (OR) A degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline is desirable, but if you don’t have this then the level of your experience will be taken into account.
+ Interpersonal / communication skills: excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to express yourself clearly and articulately both orally and in writing. Able to build strong and effective, collaborative working relationships with colleagues and prospective clients.
+ Self-starter: motivated, driven and comfortable working autonomously.
+ Analytical problem-solver: able to identify information required and leverage available resources to solve problems creatively and provide effective solutions.
