Who we are:

We are the UK's largest multi site Aqua Park operator with sites in Thurrock, Rutland, Cardiff and now Grafham.

We provide an environment in which our customers can have fun and feel safe. We have a very strong safety culture.

We are industry leaders, instrumental in creating the Aquaparks Steering Group in the UK. This is a safety and best practice forum for operators in the UK and Northern Ireland.

We offer the RLSS Accredited Open Water Lifeguard course and develop the skills of all the employees we recruit.

The Leisure Manager Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a new team in a hands-on operational role, working outdoors at a brand-new leisure facility.
You will be responsible for the operation of Aqua Park Grafham, ensuring that customer health and safety is the highest priority of all employees.

This role would suit someone who has worked in leisure, or hospitality managing teams. Perhaps with experience of managing waterfronts, beach fronts or water ski facilities, maybe in seasonal roles abroad or in the UK, but unable to make travel plans to do that in summer 2021.

About You:

+ You will have significant previous management experience, ideally in the leisure industry, in a role which involves managing a high volume of customers.
+ Commercial flare with an operational background.
+ Computer literate, to learn bespoke booking systems and manage park correspondence.
+ An excellent communicator, with experience of dealing with the public.
+ Able to keep calm under pressure.
+ Full driving licence and own transport is essential.

Desirable:

+ Ideally you will come from a leisure or water sports background, with some background in Lifeguarding, or with a willingness to undertake training.
+ Holding a valid First Aid at work qualification.
+ The RLSS Trainer Assessor qualification it would be an advantage.
+ With an interest in health & safety.
+ A methodical approach in terms of producing documentation required for the safe operation of the park.
+ The RLSS Trainer Assessor qualification it would be an advantage.
Other Information:
+ You will receive full management training in our established processes, systems and procedures.
+ You will be fully supported by our management team.
+ The role requires you to have the right to work in the UK.

If you have management experience, ideally water sport related, then we will provide you with full training and procedures in order to undertake the role.

In peak season you must be prepared to work 6 days a week. (£1020 per week)

Full driving licence and own transport is essential.

+ The role requires you to have the right to work in the UK.
