As a result of our growth we are looking to expand our Service desk team further and are currently seeking a 3rd Level Support engineer, to work with our busy Service desk team.
The role involves dealing with Service desk calls covering Microsoft / Vmware operating systems on desktop, laptops and Server technologies together with other Networking Solutions including Switches and Firewalls.
Responsibilities and duties:
+ Design and implementation at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
+ Design and implement hosted and cloud solutions for customers using technologies that meet their requirements
+ Interact with Level 1 and Level 2 Technical Support Engineers providing support and guidance on difficult issues.
+ Responding and assisting with P1 escalations.
+ Provide product training to Level 1 and Level 2 Technical Support Engineers and act as a mentor to junior support engineers.
+ Act as a back–up for Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Service Desk Engineers.
+ Provide out of hours coverage as part of an on-call rotation schedule for SLA support as needed.
+ Assist in evaluating new services, processes and technologies introduced at the Client Support Team.
+ Ensure customer and partner inquiries are responded to within established timeframes and customer care and technical support service levels are achieved. The successful candidate will have the following key qualities:
Qualifications and Experience:
+ Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP.
+ 5+ years’ experience in providing technical support.
+ Detailed knowledge of Microsoft (Windows Server 2012/2016, Microsoft Exchange, Office365 and Active Directory).
+ Setup, operation and troubleshooting of TCP/IP networking.
+ 3+ years’ experience with VMware ESX Server or VMware products.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English as this will be a customer-facing role.
+ Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
+ Full Clean driving licence required
