The Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity:
Our mission is to transition from traditional dental techniques to modern manufacturing techniques. We have a number of product groups, but each dental product is uniquely designed and manufactured to suit each patient, so no two products are the same. With the growth of additive manufacturing technology combined with the digital scanning development we can now streamline this workflow.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with the ability to help us make this transition.
Key Duties Include:
+ Evaluating quality and control processes and making recommendations on improvements
+ Studying production and machine requirements, methods, schedules , downtime, waste management.
+ Developing and testing effective automated and manual systems
+ Designing and installing equipment
+ Organising and managing manufacturing workflows and resources
+ Optimising facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance
+ Resolving issues and delays in production
+ Finding ways to reduce costs and maximise quality
+ Training staff in new and existing processes
+ Collaborating with other engineers, contractors and suppliers
+ Ensuring that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
+ Upgrading systems and processes with new technology
+ Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role
+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
+ Project management skills
+ Problem-solving ability
+ Teamwork skills
+ A degree in Engineering; a postgraduate degree is a plus
+ Familiar with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
+ Committed to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
+ Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)
+ Able occasionally to work late shifts
+ Degree in Engineering; post-graduate degree is a plus
