Your Skills: Quality Assurance and Regulatory Experience supplying into or working in the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries

The Quality Assurance Manager Role:

The Quality Assurance Manager will develop and manage Quality Assurance Management Systems for the UK&I, and all activities that ensure compliance with the relevant Food Safety Regulations and compliance to the relevant Food Safety certification standards including BRC and FSSC 22000.

+ You will be responsible for all activities that ensure compliance to relevant Pharmaceutical Regulations and compliance to Good Distribution Practices for Active Substances.
+ To support the Operations Team on Quality, Food Safety, GMP and Technical issues
+ To support both colleagues and customers on Quality, Food Safety, GMP and Technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintenance of FSSC 22000, ISO22000 BRC Agents & Brokers
+ Supplier Approval and Performance Monitoring
+ Monitoring the performance of key 3 PLs.
+ Lead HACCP Teams
+ Quality, Food Safety Audits & GDP of audits of Univar in the UK&I
+ Lead Customer Audits
+ Supplier Audits
+ Maintenance of Quality Assurance/ Food Safety/GDP documentation
+ HACCP/GDP Training
+ Key contact with the MHRA, ensuring GDP licence is up to date and accurate and ensuring both Suppliers & Customer have valid Licences
+ Change Control
+ Keeping the Business up to date with legal compliance issues, legislative changes and Industry Standards
+ Manage Recalls
+ Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances
+ Lead Quality Reviews

About You:

+ Degree in Food Science or Chemistry or Equivalent
+ Minimum 5 years experience of managing a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) Compliance System
+ Worked in either Chemical / Food Ingredients Supplier or a Food or Pharmaceutical Manufacturer in a QA Role
+ Lead Auditor Qualification preferable
