We are a leading distributor of cable accessories in the UK focused on supplying to Panel Builders, OEMs and Electrical Contractors either directly or via wholesalers.
The business is very successful with annual revenues of ca. £15m and is well placed to continue growing. You will join our existing specialist sales team selling cable accessories into the rail industry and actively play a part in growing this business.

The Sales Account Manager Role:
In this Sales Account Manager position; you'll use your B2B sales, account management, excellent customer service and communication skills to deliver performance in line with objectives of the department and financial targets set each month. You will be joining a strong sales team of 2 who specialise in selling cable and cable accessories into the rail industry.
You will be given full product and technical training, we'll support you to learn and develop your knowledge of products across the group. We’ll give you the confidence to provide customers with account management service and consultative technical sales. In return we ask for your enthusiasm to learn and immerse yourself in our industry and the products we provide across the Shoal Group.
The key measurement of success of this role will be your ability to hit and exceed the sales target each month, growing key accounts, bringing on new business, and exceeding expectations in the service and support you provide to our customers.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:
+ Previous senior sales experience within the rail industry (experience selling electrical components, accessories or cables into this industry would be advantageous)
+ Solid sales experience
+ Strong B2B sales experience, ideally consultative and/or technical
+ Account management and business development experience is essential
+ Strong communicator both verbally and in written form at all levels
+ Ability to develop and maintain effective, positive working relationships with internal and external professionals
+ Enjoys working to sales targets and goal, always striving to overachieve
+ Good all-round IT skills and previous experience using a CRM system
+ Must be team player with ‘can do, will do’ positive working attitude, determination, and confidence
+ Resilience and ability to cope with rejection
+ Ability to prioritise work and adapt positively to changing priorities
+ Able to work on own initiative
+ Formal qualifications will support any application
