The Sales Manager role:

Customer focus is at the heart of everything we do but, at the same time, our business, business environment, customer expectation and products in our industry are all rapidly changing.

Whilst being well-established, we still have a big job ahead of us and we are really excited about working with a new Sales Manager who will steer us through some of these changes in the next stage of our improvement journey.

Our new Sales Manager will bring positivity and vibrancy and help to shape our growth ambitions and influence a positive impact. The eco system in which we work is fast-paced, ever-changing and always challenging – but the rewards are great!

Key Responsibilities:

+ Leading the sales team by encouraging monitoring the team
+ Achieving key targets and delivering continuous improvement by building a strong rapport with customers
+ Ensuring that team and personal performance targets are achieved
+ Agreeing the details of the sale by ensuring that a range of finance options are explained to the customers and aiding the customers in picking the best option for them
+ Working as a full member of the centre team by providing seamless service to customers through assisting, liaising with, and managing team members
+ Managing the sales team and sales admin team to ensure that key processes and documentation are delivered to agreed standards and timescales
+ Monitoring staff training needs, ensuring training and development plans are in place and up to date for all members of the team
+ Screening new potential additions to the team
+ Determining the Centre’s display layout and vehicle mix for new/used cars in line with guidelines, ensuring the correct display of all point-of-sale materials
+ Sanctioning and managing any paint or repair work on part exchanges/used cars or preparation work on new cars, ensuring all vehicles meet the correct standards for sale or display

About you:

+ A very talented Sales Manager with an enviable and proven track record of sales
+ Ideally have experience within the motor industry but this is not essential
+ You will be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to generate impressive results by increasing sales performance, profitability and operating efficiency
+ You must have strong leadership and people management skills as your primary focus is to lead your team to deliver their business objectives
+ You will be expected to drive the business forward and maximise customer satisfaction whilst motivating, coaching and managing the whole team
+ You will be able to demonstrate that you share our company values and possess strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
