This is a senior role providing escalated (tier 2/3) technical support for a wide range of technology but with a focus on expertise in AV and control systems.

The Senior Support Technician Role:

We are looking to add an individual to our Client Support team specialising in AV and control systems.

This position is a part of our Client Support team. The team responsibilities include remote and on-site troubleshooting, maintaining, testing, building and documenting AV and IT systems for various Megayachts, SuperYachts and private residences around the world.

The support provided is expected to be available to our clients 24/7/365 and requires an attention to process, unique client requirements, and a passion for resolving issues in an effective and efficient manner.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Troubleshooting and support of audio visual, control and automation, telecommunications, satellite and IT systems.
+ On-site testing and commissioning of AV systems.
+ Performing regular maintenance and update tasks.
+ Training end-users in bespoke systems.
+ Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior members of the support team.
+ Collaborating with engineering and sales departments regarding design and delivery of new systems.
+ Writing and maintaining documentation.
+ Working occasional rota-based weekend shifts to fulfil 24/7/365 support requirements.

About You:

+ Previous experience in an AV Technician / Support role is essential
+ A passion for technology and a desire to keep up with developments in the world of AV and IT.
+ Explain technical issues and resolutions in an empathetic, patient, non-technical manner where appropriate.
+ In contrast, the ability to discuss detailed technical specifications and operations with other technicians and engineers.
+ Effectively prioritise tasks and client issues in accordance to defined standards.
+ Have a detail-oriented working style.
+ A tenacity for solving problems both for the short and long term.
+ Share knowledge with team members, superiors, and users.
+ The ability to apply knowledge to new situations.

Preferred Skills:

+ Demonstrable experience in providing technical support for a wide variety of technologies.
+ Ability to read system diagrams, identify and troubleshoot signal flow.
+ Working knowledge of TCP/IP, switches, routers, audio and video over IP protocols.
+ Familiarity with commercial control systems and/or home automation.
+ Experience with deploying and configuring Crestron control systems. The ability to read and debug Crestron applications would be a plus, though not required.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Windows Server.
+ The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, independence, the ability and willingness to travel internationally, and a desire to learn.
+ Valid driving licence
+ Valid passport
