The Senior Internal Auditor Role:

The position is responsible for facilitating the organisation’s global risk management approach by leading or participating in audit projects in support of the annual audit plan and management’s requests.

The Senior Internal Auditor either leads or assists with the execution of all phases (planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up) of Univar’s Internal Audit projects. Additionally, the Senior Internal Auditor participates in the execution of Univar’s SOX program.

What you’ll deliver day-to-day:

+ Assist and/or plan the objectives and scope of audit assignments, execute fieldwork, and conduct opening and closing meetings with department heads and Senior Management.
+ Assist where and as needed in the execution of the SOX program, including walkthroughs, control testing, identify remediation procedures, and conduct risk assessments.
+ Partner with Management to effectively communicate and resolve issues identified through audits.
+ Prepare audit reports of findings and recommendations to Management.
+ Conduct investigations, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting as required by Management.
+ Work on special projects and management requests.
+ Supervise auditors and contractors on a project basis.

About You:

+ You are a UK resident and currently living in the UK.
+ You have the right to work in the UK – an offer of employment is subject to satisfactory proof of this.
+ Educated to University Level
+ Minimum 2 years audit experience (preferably with the Big 4 or national/regional CPA firm and/or similar experience in corporate Internal Audit)
+ ACCA, ACA, and/or CIA (or willing to obtain one in the near future)
