The Trainee Paraplanner Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Trainee Paraplanner works as part of the Paraplanning team supporting the Managing Director and other Financial Advisers within the Practice.

General Duties:

+ Learning practice processes
+ Learning about our products in detail
+ Learning about tax treatment of products
+ Learning how to write Suitability Reports
+ Supporting Paraplanners with cases/file preparation and ad-hoc tasks
+ Keep Advisers and clients up to date with all business and case progression
+ Keep up to date with any new procedures, compliance, changes to business submission procedures and head office communications
+ Update Salesforce with all client contact
+ Attending client meetings as and when required to assist in presentation, information gathering or any other activity central to securing the business
+ Completion of internal exams and continuing development
+ Attendance at seminars and client events as and when required
+ Attending training workshops and undertaking webinars required for learning and development
+ Undertake any tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager
+ Provide cover in the absence of other trainees/administrator
+ Attendance of our Paraplanner Academy
+ Ensure WIP Tracker is kept up to date at all times

About You:

+ The ability to balance conflicting demands in a calm and friendly manner
+ Ability to work autonomously and within a team
+ Analytical with precise attention to detail
+ Ability to accurately transpose information
+ Gaining up to date knowledge of regulation and legislation
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Friendly and professional manner when dealing with colleagues and clients
+ Knowledge of Salesforce and advantage but not essential
+ Willing to commit to study and taking exams as required
