The Transport Training & Development Officer Role:
As a Training & Development Officer, you’ll make a real difference to the lives of others.
Working with a number of high profile transport organisations who are passionate about developing their employees, you’ll provide learners with the skills they need to become professional bus drivers.
Your role will be varied, but the core focus will always be to support new drivers to meet their goals and succeed in their apprenticeships. You will achieve this through:
+ Having an excellent understanding of what it takes to be an outstanding driver
+ Using your experience to deliver top quality learning experiences
+ Being confident teaching groups, whether remotely or face-to-face
+ Putting quality at the forefront of everything you do – for your learners, employers and team
+ Managing an effective caseload of learners and enabling them to achieve all aspects of their apprenticeship including End Point Assessment.
+ Utilising a range of teaching methods to suit individual learner preferences
What you’ll need for this role (essential requirements):
+ Valid CPC
+ Valid PCV licence
+ Minimum of 5 years bus driving experience
+ Level 2 qualification in English & Mathematics
+ ICT Literate
+ Some experience of training / mentoring
You might even have (desirable requirements):
+ Assessment Qualification (TAQA L3 / A1 / D32 / 33)
+ Level 3 or above Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, CTLLS or DTLLS)
+ Level 4 or above Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, CTLLS or DTLLS)
+ Quality Assurance Qualification (TAQA L4, V1, D34)
+ Additional specialism-specific Qualifications
+ Understanding of the change from Frameworks to Standards
+ Preparation of curriculums and teaching materials
