We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join Marshall Motor Group and lead our sales team at our Toyota dealership in Canterbury.

This role will see you use your sales management experience in your next step of career development to lead the team in providing a high quality service for our customers.

£36,000 Base, £58,000 OTE
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8.00am-6.00pm / Saturday 8.30am-1.00pm (every 3rd Saturday)

The Vehicle Sales Manager role:

Reporting to the Head of Business, this role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, and offers the opportunity to join a leading automotive retail group whilst representing a fantastic automotive brand.

To be successful within this role, we do not require previous Automotive experience, just a passion for providing great customer service, an ability to work in a proactive manner and a desire for no two working days to ever be the same!

What your day-to-day might look like:

+ Managing the team of Sales Executives and Business Managers
+ Leading and motivating the team to meet sales targets on vehicles and finance and insurance products
+ Liaising with customers, both face-to-face and by phone/email
+ Working to market vehicles and services on offer both in the dealership and online
+ Ensuring customer satisfaction index scores are consistently high
+ Handling any customer complaints in an efficient and effective way
+ Collating finance proposals for customers
+ Talk and listen to the customer to build rapport and accurately qualify their requirements
Maintain contact to ensure that the customer is kept informed throughout the process
+ Build a relationship between yourself and the service team
+ Deliver excellent service to everyone making sure their experience is memorable

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as a sales leader within the automotive industry. Whilst brand experience is preferred, it isn’t essential.

In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the following:

+ Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
+ Ability to lead and motivate a team to meet a goal
+ A calm and professional manner
+ A commitment to the Marshall Values of People, Customers, Integrity and Innovation
+ Good communication skills
+ IT literate
+ Confidence working to deadlines and managing customer expectations with regular communication and updates.
+ Be a self-motivated and ambitious person who is willing to learn
