Warehouse and Assembly Support | Leading Decorative Lighting Design and Manufacturer
Farlington (near Portsmouth) | Up to £23,000, plus 25 days paid leave, and perks & benefits
As Warehouse and Assembly Support you will deal with product returns, some electrical lighting assembly and testing, and also order fulfilment including fork lift truck driving, whilst ensuring safety, efficiency, quality and high attention to detail in all your work.
The Warehouse and Assembly Support Role:
+ Process returns effectively – closely inspecting electrical lighting products for damage, repairing or replacing where necessary and ensuring electrical safety via flash testing
+ Prepare products for order fulfilment e.g. changing coloured shades; adding bulbs; changing plugs; etc.
+ Despatch products accurately and on time
+ Safely use Fork Lift Truck to move product between warehouse units; pick from racking; load /unload deliveries and despatch
+ Assist in monthly stock take
+ Assist in the assembly of products (particularly Giant floor lamps and pendants), ensuring high quality process and attention to detail
+ Assist in Giant floor lamp stock deliveries, storage and palletisation
+ Assist in Quality control / inspection of product deliveries and return of exhibition products
+ Complete periodic Portable Appliance Testing for office and warehouse appliances
+ Assist Finance & Operations Director in day to day minor buildings/infrastructure maintenance tasks (e.g. changing lights bulb/tubes; fitting wall fixtures; etc.)
+ Highly motivated, self-starter with a ‘roll your sleeves up’ and hands on attitude
+ Maintains a positive, professional and at all times safety focused attitude
+ Set high standards of performance and aactively contributes to continuous improvement
+ Proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members
+ Able to closely follow instruction and direction
+ Assume additional responsibility without being asked
+ Follow through with commitments and foster mutual trust with colleagues
We are looking for a great team player with experience of warehouse and assembly support. You will have:
+ 3+ years relevant experience of warehouse and assembly support
+ Desirable – Reach fork lift truck experience and qualification (if not training will be provided)
+ Appropriate computer skills in using Outlook and Excel (for capturing data purposes)
+ An all-encompassing desire to roll up your sleeves and get the job done
The Warehouse and Assembly Support will report to the Warehouse Manager
+ Some flexible working (on 37.5)
