The Workshop Controller Opportunity:

We are currently expanding our business and seeking a talented Workshop Controller to join our Romford Branch. This role offers excellent training, genuine career progression, and the chance to work with cutting-edge automotive technology.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Coordinating the resources available in the workshop in an efficient and safe manner
+ Controlling the flow of work across the team in an effective, efficient and fair manner
+ Delegating jobs to the relevant Service Technicians and Apprentices
+ Working as part of the workshop team to carry out scheduled vehicle service and repair work
+ Examining vehicles and diagnoses non-routine defects, either in the workshop or during a road test, using knowledge of the vehicles and technologies concerned
+ Talking to customers to summarise the details of the work required or carried out, and answer their questions
+ Listening carefully to customers and building rapport
+ Coaching and supporting apprentices & technicians
+ Providing assistance and guidance to colleagues who are less skilled or knowledgeable
+ Attending specialised training as required by the relevant manufacturer
+ Ensuring opportunities for sales are followed up by the most appropriate specialist
+ Ad hoc duties as and when required to meet the needs of the business

About you:

+ Previous experience as a Workshop Controller
+ Organised in the workplace
+ Confident communicator
+ Passionate about problem-solving
