The Logistics Assistant Role:

As Logistics Assistant, you will be responsible for the monitoring of our Online fulfilment and EDI systems to ensure smooth operational flow of drop-ship vendor networks as well as our own carriers.

You will be joining a team responsible for the communication regarding all fulfilment processes and service levels. Detailed monitoring of unshipped orders will be a daily task, both for drop-ship orders and our own internally fulfilled orders. As internal and external system upgrades and changes take place, you will also help to determine the possible impact to drop-ship vendor accounts and proactively take steps to minimise impact and improve efficiency.

You will help preparing sales audit reports and other reports as required by the buying team and management. Additionally, you will assist in other areas within the department as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Initiate set up and opening of new accounts for authorised drop-ship vendors
+ Continual support and troubleshooting for vendors and accounts
+ Develop, introduce and maintain a drop-ship training manual
+ Provide training and daily instruction to merchandising staff regarding current and new features and functionality
+ Create and maintain training tools and methods for mandatory training of new hires
+ Unshipped order monitoring
+ Help with daily sales audit reports
+ Help with freight accrual reporting and auditing parcel carrier’s invoices
+ Supporting customer care, our depot and the call centre by responding to email queries and phone calls

About You:

+ Experience working with vendors, suppliers and outside agencies
+ Excellent computer skills including advanced excel expertise is mandatory, AS400 knowledge is beneficial
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to maintain strong working relationships
+ Professional and confident communication skills for presentations, training and daily interaction with management
+ Able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a very fast paced work environment
+ Merchandise or Operations experience is recommended
