The General Manager Opportunity:

We are currently expanding our business and are now offering an exciting opportunity to join the team as a General Manager in Hatfield.

Reporting to the Divisional Director, this role offers the right candidate the opportunity to join a highly respected retailer group.

As a General Manager, you will have overall accountability for people and financial performance for your dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Leading, managing and motivating a team of automotive professionals
+ Driving a high performance culture, ensuring performance is rewarded and underperformance is managed
+ Overseeing the sales and aftersales divisions, ensuring performance meets budget
+ Setting financial and growth objectives for each department, and planning accordingly to ensure profit and product targets are met
+ Accurately finalising dealership reporting, in line with group reporting frameworks
+ Supporting the dealerships to consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
+ Ensuring dealership activities are conducted in line with company, manufacturer and regulatory requirements

About you:

+ Previous experience in a Head of Business/Dealer Principal/General Manager or similar role within the automotive industry
+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a large and diverse team
+ A professional and calm approach
+ Strong stakeholder management skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential barriers
