The South East Business Awards has announced that RecruitmentRevolution.com founders, Jamie Mistlin (29) and Anna Taylor (25), are finalists in the Young Entrepreneur category.  The award winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, managed by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), on the 6th March 2008.  The event celebrates the best inspirational and entrepreneurial businesses in the South East. This Award recognizes those who have shown a high degree of entrepreneurship and vision for the future and Anna and Jamie have already undergone serious assessment in their pursuit of this high accolade.

RecruitmentRevolution.com is a unique online job marketing and introductory service that underwrites a company’s job marketing costs; schedules the interview process; and only levies a £575 fee when the company successfully secures their new candidate.  The RecruitmentRevolution.com concept was devised to amalgamate the benefits of an online job portal and the agency model creating a hybrid solution, which enables companies to access a facility providing an agency service at a realistic price.

The Young Entrepreneur Award is one of eight separate categories comprising the Awards.  Unlike other award programmes, the South East Business Awards focus on enhancing working practices by providing opportunities for short listed companies to meet with highly-ranked professional peers.

Jamie and Anna look forward to being able to showcase their successes and are excited by the opportunity to explore new ideas to develop their business further.  They have been approached to take their business model into both America and Europe, therefore, during 2008 they will be conducting research and consulting with overseas professionals in the recruitment arena to determine the feasibility and viability of launching RecruitmentRevolution.com in these territories.

Commenting on their success, Jamie Mistlin co-director said “It was a great surprise to find out that we were finalists.  This is a prestigious award so we will be keeping every thing crossed, though it really is a great achievement for us to have made it this far.  Winning would be great though!”

South East Business Awards Chair Jeff Alexander said: “I am delighted that RecruitmentRevolution.com has been chosen as a finalist for the Young Entrepreneur Award.  The judges have recognised their expertise and record in the area of entrepreneurship.  The excellence demonstrated by RecruitmentRevolution.com will help other businesses around the region to consider implementing best practice and therefore drive business success throughout the region.”

About SEEDA

The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) is the Government funded Agency responsible for the sustainable economic development and regeneration of the South East of England – the driving force of the UK’s economy. Our aim is to create a prosperous, dynamic and inspirational region by helping businesses compete more effectively, training a highly skilled workforce, supporting and enabling our communities while safeguarding our natural resources and cherishing our rich cultural heritage.

The Regional Economic Strategy (RES) for South East England 2006 -2016: a world class region achieving sustainable prosperity.
The RES has three headline targets. Progress towards all three of these will provide evidence of overall progress against the vision:

Global Competitiveness: Achieving an average annual increase in GVA (Gross Value Added) per capita of at least 3%.
Smart Growth: Increasing productivity per worker by an average 2.4% annually, from £39,000 in 2005 to at least £50,000 by 2016 (in constant prices).
Sustainable Prosperity: Reducing the rate of increase in the region’s ecological footprint (from 6.3 global hectares per capita in 2003, currently increasing at 1.1% per capita per annum), stabilizing it and seek to reduce it by 2016.
