Recruitment Decision: Video CV Or Electronic CV?

With the expansion of the internet, certain online sources have developed with the ability to run video media, so you could be innovative and create a video CV to give to an employer.  This has currently not taken off, as job hunters are put off, thinking an employer may judge on what someone looks like, rather than their skill base.

One SME recruitment agency commented that “most client prefer to be accepted or rejected based upon their skills rather than interviews because this can be interpreted as a rejection of how they look or what they say, so a video CV would make people feel as though they would be successful or not based upon how they look and act rather than their ability to do the actual job.”
